Hi, I’m amie.

I’ve been a nurse for over 20 years, and I’m also a permanent makeup artist and aesthetic nurse prescriber.

Aether (formerly The White Room) began at a time when I felt a little lost — searching for the sense of purpose and fulfilment that nursing had once given me. Around that time, I had my own eyebrows tattooed, and the experience stayed with me. Not just the result, but the time, care and attention that went into understanding what I wanted — and how that made me feel afterwards. More confident, more like myself.

That moment led me to retrain, and to create a space where others could experience the same.

Over the years, the clinic has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of — not just for the treatments, but for the relationships, trust and conversations that come with them. It’s never lost on me that each day someone chooses to place that trust in me, and it’s something I will never take for granted.

Today, Aether is based in my home clinic — a quiet, considered space where appointments are unhurried, and no two ever overlap. A place where you can feel at ease, take a breath, and be looked after properly.

Why aether

After eight years, the name The White Room no longer felt aligned with what the clinic had grown into.

The word aether historically refers to the clear, calm air above the noise of the world, a space of lightness, clarity and stillness.

Over time, the clinic had naturally become more than just a place for treatments. Despite the clinical nature of what I do, clients often tell me how calm and relaxed they feel here, that it’s a moment to pause in an otherwise busy day.

That feeling is something I’ve always wanted to protect.

Aether reflects that shift. Not a change in what I do, but a deeper alignment with how I do it… calm, considered, and intentional.

It’s a name that holds space for both the results and the experience.
